Wednesday the 23rd: Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, Canada
Spent the night here, in Nanaimo, a good sized town on the Island. Had a very good dinner last night at the Modern Cafe; a vegetable stack containing a portobello mushroom, mashed sweet potato, spinach, crispy wontons, sundried tomatoes and red pepper pesto.

We'll be heading to Victoria today.

Monday night was spent at a wonderful cabin just outside of Port McNeill, looking out on the Johnston Strait. It was a great place to decompress after a seriously long boat ride. It had all the amenities, including a full kitchen.

In the morning, the tide was really far out so the birds were able to have a true shellfish smorgasbord. Spotted a beautiful crane trying a hand at fishing.
