Friday the 25th: Victoria, Vancouver Island, Canada
Nice to be back in a city again, a great one at that. Victoria has pretty much everything you'd want, including some beautiful parks and architecture. Plus, there is plenty to do. We were able to get delicious food, tour the Parliament building, go to the Royal British Columbia Museum, and walk the public gardens, all in about a day and a half. And that was just the beginning of what could have been a week's stay filled with activities. It also helped that the weather could not have been better, cool and sunny every day.

Victoria is very British, even though we hear a lot of French too. Most of the patriotism for Britian was seen in and around Parliament. Otherwise, it's quite a diverse city, but with English gardens and design.

The Royal British Columbia Museum. Among the many great exhibits were lots of fun and hands-on activities, such as this one where we built cars out of legos and raced them down a track. Our competition consisted of 5 year old kids, but who cares! We had a blast!

Today it's onto another ferry to Port Angeles, Washington. From there, we'll be heading down to Portland, where Kevin's brother and sister-in-law lives. At that point, we'll be regrouping a bit and will probably not be posting much for a week or so. We hope to visit Seattle during our stay and may get a few pictures to share then.

Right now, we are a little unsure how the rest of the trip will go. We may be changing the itinerary a bit, as we've learned a lot over the last three months. As it stands, we are thinking of returning home about a month early...we'll see. We plan on figuring it out by the time we leave Portland...we hope.
