Sunday the 27th: Portland, Oregon
Arrived Friday night at Chris and Jessica's house (Kevin's brother and sister-in-law). It's a really nice place, modern and spacious (see picture below). The next morning, it was off to see the city and have some really good food, as vegan meals are available almost anywhere and are quite cheap. The city also has a nickel arcade and tons of bowling alleys. Definitely limitless entertainment.

Kato, the guard dog:

Visited the Portland Classical Chinese Garden, right in the city's center:

Spent way too much time and money in arcades, playing games and skee-ball...so much fun (although we could have easily spent days and hundreds of dollars at Powell's Books...that place is incredible).

Sunday was pretty much a regrouping day and Monday will be the same too. We plan to visit Seattle on Tuesday and may stay a couple of nights. After that, we'll be heading south, hoping that the weather cools off a bit...not likely.
