Wednesday
the 30th: Seattle, Washington Below is the Space Needle at Seattle Center. In front of it is the Gehry designed Experience Music Project. EMP was a fun place to visit. Aside from some thorough exhibits regarding Seattle's music history, they have several musical instrument interactives. Kevin was extremely excited to play a full drum set in a sound booth.
Not the greatest picture in the world but yes, this is the first Starbucks, ever (the original logo on the outside is actually a little cooler than the streamlined mermaid they use now).
Right across the street from Starbucks is Pikes Place Market. Pretty much what you'd expect, although five dollars for a bundle of flowers was pretty great. The image below of the fish monger is where they throw the fish, as seen on TV.
Well, over the next few days, we'll be starting the second half of our trip. We are grateful for the wonderful hospitality Kevin's brother and sister-in-law have shown us and wish them the best in their new, awesome home. On to the sandy white beaches of Coos Bay, Oregon.
