Saturday the 5th: Seward, Alaska
Drove to Seward this afternoon and will probably spend a few nights here. It's a small fishing village, south of Anchorage, that serves as the gateway to Kenai National Park. It sits on Resurrection Bay, an inlet off of the Gulf of Alaska. The park is one of the main attractions as it has numerous glaciers with calving ice and tons of sealife. We'll probably keep off the ferry and hike to the glacier instead (we're saving the Dramamine for the inside passage).

Can't go wrong with the views here, every landscape is a mountain range and the bay is stunning with sea otters popping up every few minutes to float on their backs.

As is the usual around here, fish were on display and being cleaned on the spot. Still an amazing site but feelings are definitely mixed...sport fishing seems gross and a little unneccesary.

Since the town is surrounded by huge mountains, not sure the illustration of the stick figure is accurate...we'd die in seconds. In the sixties, the town was leveled by an earthquake, followed by a tsunami.
